I am also measuring my main speakers and I need to use filters generated by REW, so would appreciate some insights into what I am doing wrong. I have added the ASR measurements of the ILoud monitor (sans sub) as a reference.Īny ideas why they are so different? Previously I have used the log sweep to generate EQ in REW on some homebuilt speakers that honked like a goose, and felt that this corrected the sound, is this the preferred way to generate EQ? It should be noted that REW needed much louder levels than the ARC system to get into "the green zone" The REW filters seems to exaggerate the boom - tiz to the extent that I though I may have inverted the recording. I think it may be overcooking it slightly, but my general impression is that the sound is probably more accurate. You will, however, be able to activate only the components included in your license.

I had expected that the filters would have a very similar effect, but could not be more wrong.

Should I update to Windows 11 if I want to continue using Reference 4 software No, we cannot recommend updating to Windows 11 while Reference 4 is not supported on it. I have attached graphs, I followed the approach outlined on the roon website for REW recording, and ARC has a wizard which is quite straightforward. Further news regarding Reference 4 support on Windows 11 is expected in December. Personally I don't have much experience with MMM measurement, but I got quite similar responses using various SW to measure my pair of speakers: REW averaged multi-point sweep measurement, Dirac Live, IK Multimedia ARC System 3 and Sonarworks Reference 4 (this thread has more info).
